Borderline Personality Disorder Treatment

No matter what type of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) treatment you need, Clearview Women’s Center for Borderline Personality Disorder and Emotional Disorders can help you. Our residential, day treatment, and outpatient BPD treatment programs are nationally recognized for their dedication to helping women who are struggling with the symptoms of BPD.

Clearview Women’s Center is one of the only programs in the country that specializes in treating women with Borderline Personality Disorder or traits of BPD. In fact, Clearview Women’s Center was created in 2009 by Executive Director Michael Roy, LCSW, exclusively to provide therapy and support to women with Borderline Personality Disorder.

All aspects of our program are specifically designed to treat the needs of women with Borderline Personality Disorder or traits of BPD. Our BPD treatment center is one of the only programs that offers multiple levels of care for Borderline Personality Disorder to ensure that you receive the treatment you need and to help you to achieve your goals.

At Clearview Women’s Center, we use the most current evidence-based treatments to address your Borderline Personality Disorder symptoms. The core of our BPD treatment center is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which has proven to be the most effective treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder.

Our comprehensive DBT program includes individual DBT therapy, DBT skills training groups, and in-person and phone coaching. Through the DBT skills of mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, you will learn to better manage your emotions, decrease self-destructive behaviors, improve your social and family relationships, and, ultimately, create the life you desire.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is integrated throughout all of our BPD treatment programs, along with other evidence-based treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and a seeking safety group, which addresses trauma symptoms.

We take a holistic approach to BPD treatment to treat the body as well as the mind. Depending on your level of care, you will receive services such as yoga, art therapy, mindfulness outings, nutritional counseling, access to a gym, recreational outings, and nutritious meals provided by a gourmet chef.

Our BPD Treatment Team

Our entire clinical staff, including the therapists, clinical director, psychiatrist, and executive director, is extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. This allows you to incorporate the skills you learn in DBT throughout your stay at Clearview, no matter which program you’re in.

Our team of expert DBT therapists is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy by Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s training institute, or another training institution. In addition to DBT, our staff has training and expertise in eating disorders, substance abuse, mindfulness techniques, CBT, and ACT. We make sure our clinical team has the skills needed to address whatever issue you’re struggling with, and provide regular training and consultation as needed.

All of our therapists work exclusively for Clearview Women’s Center, allowing you to get the support you need, when you need it, by a team of people dedicated to your wellbeing. Your individual clinical team will be determined when you enter Borderline Personality Disorder treatment at Clearview, based on your particular needs and diagnosis.

Continuum of BPD Treatment

Clearview Women’s Center is proud to be one of the only Borderline Personality Disorder treatment centers in the country that offers a complete continuum of care. That allows us to better help you on your journey of  BPD recovery and allows you to benefit from the treatment that suits you the best.

Our experienced intake counselors will help determine whether residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment, day treatment, or outpatient BPD treatment will be most suitable for you. We want to make sure that you enter treatment at the appropriate level of care, both to avoid any unnecessary treatment and to get you the best BPD treatment possible based on your needs.

While you’re in treatment, your progress will be regularly assessed and your treatment adjusted as needed. This will enable you to generalize and apply your skills to work, school, and social and family relationships, and achieve the goals that are important to you.

Our BPD Treatment Center Location and Facilities

All of our programs are located in Los Angeles, allowing you to access beautiful coastline, entertainment, and top-notch universities and employment. Our residential and day Borderline Personality Disorder treatment centers are in serene residential neighborhoods in Venice Beach, near Marina del Rey and Santa Monica, and less than 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean.

Our outpatient BPD treatment center is centrally located in Westwood, making it convenient for anyone looking for a flexible treatment schedule. Our residential clients live in two beautiful homes close to the beach.

Based on your progress, you can enjoy the Southern California beach community, including biking, rollerskating, volleyball, and various recreational and social activities.

We Want to Help You Make a Full Recovery From BPD

We know the decision to enter Borderline Personality Disorder treatment is a difficult one, and we want to make the process as easy for you as possible. From the time you speak to one of our caring intake counselors to the time you meet with your therapist to plan your discharge from BPD treatment, we are there to help you make a full recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder.

We involve you in every aspect of your BPD treatment, allowing you to help create the individualized treatment plan needed to address your specific symptoms and any co-occurring disorders, such as depression, anxiety, an eating disorder, or substance abuse. A member of our nurturing staff is always available to answer your questions and provide you support so that you never feel alone on this journey.

Because we understand that family and relationships are vital to your recovery, we include your loved ones as much as possible. Family and couples counseling is available as needed, and weekly phone updates are provided to families to keep them updated on your progress in BPD treatment.

As you near the end of your treatment at Clearview, your therapist will help you develop a thorough continuing care plan, no matter where you live. If you are from out of the Los Angeles area, we will help you locate a local DBT program, therapist, psychiatrist, and other resources you need to help ensure a smooth transition and the best chance of success.
