Borderline Personality Disorder Residential Treatment

BPD Residential TreatmentIf you are struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), you know that the symptoms of BPD can be disruptive to your everyday life.

You may have tried individual therapy and outpatient Borderline Personality Disorder treatment, but neither has helped you to make a recovery from your BPD symptoms.

What you need for a complete recovery is residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment. Inpatient or residential BPD treatment allows you to step away from the stressors of your everyday life and focus on you.

In a serene environment with 24-hour support and therapists trained in BPD treatment, you will be able to learn to manage your Borderline Personality Disorder symptoms and gain the skills needed to return to your everyday life.

At Clearview Women’s Center, a premier residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment center in Los Angeles, we are committed to helping you recover from your BPD symptoms, learn effective and healthy coping strategies, and find a life worth living. We provide the staff, evidence-based therapies, and peaceful environment that are needed to truly treat the symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder.

How our BPD Residential Treatment Center is Different

Most programs treat either substance abuse issues or general mental health issues. In other words, treatment is not focused specifically on what you are seeking treatment for.

Clearview Women’s Residential Treatment Center for Borderline Personality Disorder is one of the only treatment centers in the country that offers treatment specifically focused on women with a diagnosis or traits of Borderline Personality disorder. In fact, all aspects of our program are designed with the needs of women with BPD, or traits of BPD, in mind.

If you struggle with issues related to emotional dysregulation, impulse control, relationship problems, and/or self-harmful behaviors, you have come to the right place. A place of hope and healing.

At Clearview Women’s Center, you will receive evidence-based treatment by a team of highly trained therapists. All therapists have advanced training and competency in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, the most effective treatment for BPD. You will receive one of the most intensive treatments for BPD or traits of BPD available anywhere, with 6 to 8 hours per day of therapy, five days per week.

Clearview Women’s Center is the only BPD treatment center on the West Coast that offers a complete continuum of care, including residential BPD treatment, day treatment, outpatient treatment, and transitional living, all focused on what you are struggling with. This allows you to start at the level of care that is right for you and transition based on your needs and progress, allowing you to integrate your new skills into the community and workplace.

Based on your progress in residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment, you may begin to go out on passes with family and friends and begin to test out your new skills in the community. Clients who stay longer are able to pursue employment and educational goals with help from our staff. We will help you to build the life that you want.

Our Expert BPD Residential Treatment Center Staff

Our skilled team of Borderline Personality Disorder therapists and psychiatrist is expertly trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the most effective treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder. Through individual DBT therapy sessions, DBT skills training groups, and in-person and phone coaching, they will guide you through the four DBT skills of emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.

The team at our Borderline Personality Disorder residential treatment center received intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy training from Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s training institute, and/or other DBT training organizations. Our caring support staff is also trained in DBT skills so that you can get the around-the-clock care you need to feel supported in your recovery.

Our BPD treatment team has a level of expertise not commonly found at other Borderline Personality Disorder treatment centers. The full-time Borderline Personality Disorder therapists at Clearview Women’s Center, who are all at the doctoral-level, have participated in the trainings needed to give them specific expertise in treating BPD using Dialectical Behavior Therapy and other evidence-based treatments.

Clearview Women’s Center’s medical director, clinical director, and even the executive director have also participated in extensive DBT training and are experts on Borderline Personality Disorder treatment. Our staff receives regular consultation from distinguished DBT trainer and consultant Charles Swenson, MD, to ensure our program adheres to the protocols of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and stays up-to-date on the most effective BPD treatments available.

Evidence-Based Therapies at our Residential BPD Treatment Center

Residential BPD TreatmentDialectical Behavior Therapy is the evidence-based therapy at the core of our inpatient BPD treatment center. At Clearview Women’s Center, we provide comprehensive DBT, meaning you’ll participate in individual DBT therapy sessions, several DBT skills training groups per week, and in-person and phone coaching. Our DBT therapists participate in regular DBT consultation team meetings to ensure you are getting the treatment that is right for you throughout your stay at Clearview.

Our BPD residential treatment center also uses other evidence-based therapies to treat both Borderline Personality Disorder and co-occurring disorder such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other personality disorders. Evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and a seeking safety group for trauma are integrated into your individualized BPD treatment program as needed to give you the most comprehensive and lasting treatment possible.

In addition to evidence-based therapies, we incorporate many holistic therapies into our inpatient Borderline Personality Disorder treatment program. We know that healing the body is just as important as healing the mind. While in residential BPD treatment, you will be able to go to the gym, participate in yoga and art therapy, and go on regular mindfulness and recreational outings.

Whether you are struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder, traits of BPD, or with BPD and a co-occurring disorder, we will tailor treatment to your specific needs. That means you will only receive the evidence-based therapies and medications that have been proven to treat your particular symptoms.

While there is a set schedule of treatment each day, the therapy groups you participate in will also be determined by your specific needs and diagnosis.

BPD Residential Treatment in a Nurturing Environment

Our women’s residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment center houses only six women at once, with treatment groups of eight women or fewer, allowing you to get the individualized care you need in an intimate environment. We’ve found that keeping our BPD residential treatment center small allows us to give you the one-on-one attention that can help you to feel better supported during treatment and that allows you to feel more comfortable and have an effective, well-rounded treatment experience.

At Clearview Women’s Center’s residential BPD treatment center, you will live in a luxurious, beautifully appointed Craftsman or Mediterranean-style house in Venice Beach, Calif., about 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean. We provide 24-hour care in the comfort of a residential home, rather than a sterile hospital-based program, so that you feel more at ease.

With a commitment to recovery, evidence-based and holistic treatments, and the inclusion of family in your recovery, our goal is to make your stay as comfortable and therapeutic as possible. Our private gourmet chef can even prepare meals tailored to your dietary and nutritional needs, to help you improve or maintain your dietary habits.
